Learn To Play Guitar Online

Learn To Play Guitar Online

Why would you want to learn to play guitar online? Well, there's several reasons. With the peliferation of videos on the web, it's easier than ever to put all the pieces together. All you have to do is learn what to search for.

Basically, what you need to have is a template for searches to learn to play guitar online.

Here's a list that you can use as a template. Also make sure, you firmly grasp what you need to in order to advance to the next step. Here's a good way to learn:

1. Basic Chords

Basic chords in my eyes revolve around the three basic chords of rock and roll, the G maj7, D maj7, and C maj.

Try searching youtube for those chords. Once you get the fingerings right, move to the next chord, and the next.

Once you have that, try changing chords, from Gmaj7 to Dmaj7 Keep your picking hand's rist loose too. Now try the C maj to the G maj7. Going from C to G is alot easier that from going from Dmaj7 to G maj7. Once you get those going smoothly, go to the next step. Also your fingering fingers should hurt a bit after you've done that, and this step should take about a week.

2. Add Minor Chords

To make all this make sense, you have to add minor scales. For most of rock music, all you have to worry about are two minor chords. So this week you'll be reviewing the 3 major chords you learned in the first step and learning the two minor chords covered in this step.

The two minor chords in this step are E min and A min.

Do a search on youtube for E minor chord. Once you have that going smoothly, do a search for A minor chord.

Try going from E minor to A minor. Spend time on it.

Once you have those transitions going smoothly, go from D maj7 to E minor and then to G maj7. Once they start moving smoothly, you'll now be a better guitar player than Elvis Presley. Congratulations!

3. Barre Chords

This is the easy part. The chords of modern rock are barre chords. Once you've mastered barre chords. It shouldn't take long at all, you'll be able to play most any song on guitar. But the most important thing is in step 4. This is what makes you a great guitar player rather than a good one.

4. Playing In Rythm

Rythm is a funny little musical word that seperates the good guitar players from the great ones.

The ones without rythm never go anywhere and depend on the ones that do.

Do a youtube search for playing guitar in rhythm

You should spend most of your time on this step. Actually this step is the most important to master. Once you have rythm, you'll always have it. You could put down the guitar for literally years, pick it up, and other than hand discomfort and finger aching, nobody will notice you were away from your guitar axcept other guitar players who have rythm.

If you do all the steps you will be able to learn to play guitar online. Practice and don't take step 4 for granted.
